Comment: Dear Molly,

I was captivated by your Forever King and I managed to purchase the Broken Sword and World Without End. The Grandmaster took me some effort to hunt down as they are already out of print.

I have waited many years for the sequel to the Broken Sword. Please let me know when it would be released.

Thanks.

Best Regards

Comment: I really enjoyed reading the Grandmaster and I look forward to reading the sequal. Although I am having trouble aquiring A copy. I managed to read it when I was younger, My dad had a copy but unfortunatley over the years I lost track of it. Anyways I hoped and assumed that by me writing in this guest book you would personaly read this and If you are I would very much like if you could send me a copy of GRANDMASTER and the sequal, I admit this does seem a little strange, perhaps mabey rude, but

Comment: Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed The Broken Sword and The Forever King... Can't wait for the third installment. Being a police-type person... Hal is probably my favorite character, but I truly like your portrayal of Merlin. Heck, I like pretty much all of your characters... (Emily is a bit annoying :) Keep up the good work and thanks!!!

The Forever King

I have just this moment finished reading 'The Forever King' and sat down to do a websearch to find you. This book is amazing. The writing is wonderful, the characters believable and vibrant of spirit, and the premise soul soothing. Especially now, as we here in the USA live through the myriad of feelings that the recent attacks and the resultant deaths have forced us to explore, your book leaves one with a sense of hope for the future and for mankind as a whole. Thank you, Ms. Cochran. I shall search out others of your books to enjoy and explore as well. We need more voices and imaginations like yours in the world, and the opportunity to experience them.

The Forever King

Just finished the Broken Sword and found your website to see if there would be a third book, yeah there will! I have been interested in Arthurian legend for some time, and read a great deal of the history on it, (I actually tried to read Le Morte D'Artur in the original Middle English!) and I was hooked by your interesting take on the legend of Arthur and the Holy Grail, 4 stars for originality.
On a side note, I write some myself and read your notes section and can really relate to your claim to having to write alot on a character to flesh it out, and then pare down the work. I find a 4 page dissertation becomes 20 just to get the four that make my statement clear! My few short stories seem to have this same life of their own, starting as much longer narratives. Do you suppose this is a lifelong affliction?
Waiting patiently for book 3, Michelle

General Nonsensical Ramblings...

*cracks fingers..* I recently read 'The Forever King'...for the third time...I absolutely love that story. I was tickled blue (i like blue better than pink, you see) that is has sequels and mayhaps will be a movie...Anyway, I love the book, one of my favorites and much more exciting than that La'mor de Arthur (alas, spelling illudes me..*wince*) I cannot wait to get 'The Broken Sword'. But everyone has complimented your books...*grin* I wanted to say something else.

The advice you gave in your Author's Notes really hit hard. When you said "If you can write it badly, you can fix it. If you insist on only writing wonderfully, it'll never get done." I was dumbfounded. I enjoy writing sci-fi and fantasy, but I never belived that any of it was worth writing because I wasn't good at it. I'm just glad you took the time to write those few sentences, because I think that if I remember them, I might have a better time at this insane thing called writing

Just a hello

I was fortunate enough to meet you once many years ago at a book signing at the Mysterious Press Bookstore. You were on the arm of your then husband and made quite a formidable couple. Enough said about that.
In discovering your new pen name via this website, I have done some browsing and bought four of your books today. I have read many of the Destroyer series and know full well you are the source of inspiration for the love interest in the Trace series.
You seem to have found your own voice and I will enjoy reading what you have done on your own.
Sincerely,

sequel

HI,
Did you and Warren Murphy ever write a subsequent sequel to Grandmaster (after High Priest)? There was a suggestion that another was coming in the closing pages of High Priest, but I have never come across it. Both books were extraordinary and have lingered in my mind all of these years. If there is a sequel please let me know and if not, PLEASE WRITE ONE!!! :-)

Inspired fan

I have been an ardent fan since the release of “Grandmaster”, so I was thrilled to find your hyper link on the Pennwriters, Inc site. Four years ago, when I decided to start writing, I faced the decision - What type of book do I want to write? My answer was to try and emulate an author whose works I have enjoyed and whose stories live in my memory. I actually used the books co-authored by you and your husband as a tutorial on how to write, pace, develop characters, handle dialogue, and work memorable, non-irritating flashbacks into the storyline. Time will tell if I was a good student and succeeded. I'm currently trying to market the resulting novel.
I just wanted to let you know that you have been an inspiration to this newbie author. Many thanks for all the hours of enjoyment your books have provided.

still my favorite book

I received "The Forever King" as a gift all the
way back in 1992. I almost didn't read it
because I wasn't into Arthurian legend at the
time, but I was so glad that I did. The book is
in horrible shape from being read so many
times. I practically know it by heart. I bought
The Broken Sword as soon as I saw it had
come out in paperback, and I am anxiously
awaiting the third. Please write quickly so your
multitudes of readers can finally know what's
going to happen!
I'm somewhat of a writer myself, and I hope
that you'd be pleased to know that your book is
one of the select few that truly inspire me.
Thank you so much. And write quickly, please!

Hi from Europe

Dear Molly,
I live in Switzerland and just wanted to let u know that u have quite a few fans here. I had to read the forever king at school and loved it. My book has been all over Europe because I was travelling when reading it. Afterwards I gave it to all my friends who could appreciate it, and the were thrilled, just like me. Have now discovered exciting fact that there is sequel (I know, I'm not very up to date) and can't wait. Admire your work, keep it up!
Wish u all the best, Helen

I just wanted to tell you that I've loved your novels. I've read The Forever King, The Broken Sword, and World Without End. Each one I couldn't set down. I'm looking really hard for Grandmasters, but haven't gotten my hands on a copy yet. In fact, Barnes and Noble was supposed to get me a copy of it today, but instead they gave me a book called "granmasters of caprentry." Talk about a let down! Oh well. My post is going to be too long if i get into anything else, so I'll close now.

Thanks for Listening.

Let me say that somehow fate made it that I was to watch a movie about none other than king arthur and miracleously find the "The Broken Sword" in the library the next day. I was hooked. Once I discovered that there was a first book I went on a search rampage for it! You and Warren Murphy were able to take a numerously written legend and amazingly bring it to life. Obviously I enjoyed both these series immensly and I do pray you will continue writing about Arthur and his knights. I, like the rest am patiently waiting and hoping for another adventure with arthur to embark on in our very own home:)

You're the author of such a great novel?

Two years ago I bought this book for about $1.00 at the dollar store, because it might've been a little old. I started reading it, and was really bored with it. Then after a couple of years, I started reading it again, and I found it fantastic! I'm still reading it also. The book was called "Death Right", and I LOVE it. This novel is the best since I read Christopher Pike's "The Last Vampire" novels. I didn't think any author could be better than him, but I was wrong. I love Dev Stryker! ^_^

I had no idea that Dev Stryker was a female! I thought she was a guy all this time! >_<'

Well I just wanna say that I love this novel I'm reading, and hope to read other novels by her! ^_~

when I started reading about books, I heard a comotion on the t.v. in next room, WW Wrestling was on,ran to see what action was happening, here's Stone Cold Steve amidst cheers and some dreadful music playing not condusive to wrestling.
I said to my brother the fan, why are they playing that music, I just roared when I came back in here and it was your website. His comment why would you listen to that when you can
get 100 radio stations on line. Lighten up the music.

love your books!

Molly, I love your books! Read Forever King first then went on a search for any others. When will the third 'Arthur' book be coming? Or a second 'Master'? Keep well and please keep writing!!

Update

Dear Molly, My best guess is that Debbie and I saw you and Warren about 11 years ago. If I'm close, Dev should be about 15? Wow! It's like I blinked and became eligible for Modern Maturity Magazine. I have continued to write despite Warren's analysis, "You're good with the words but not that good!" Anyway, recently I came across some of my early attempts toward literary fame that I sent to you and Warren. After review, his analysis was probably correct; however, any Irishman worth his salt listens only to is own muse. Toward that end, I am finishing my first book and I remember something you said to me a long time ago, "Andy McCabe, that's a nice name for an author!" Thanks for the encouragement! My best to you both. From scenic midtown Bayonne, Andy
